Accommodation

Lots of fantastic hotels

Brisbane is a fairly young, modern city. It's well planned and the river runs all the way through it, making for some very unique sightseeing and spectacular accommodation options. I never liked Brisbane but it's become quite cultural with loads of events throughout the year. If you're not really bothered by lack of beaches, then Brisbane is a city worth considering. It's one of those cities where you can get pretty much anywhere in a car within half an hour. And everything is at your fingertips. It's easy to see why people are migrating there from the southern states.

The weather is consistently warm all-year-round with temperatures rarely dipping below 15C unless it's winter but even then it's usually just the overnight temperatures that drop a bit but it heats up rather quick and can get up to about 21 in winter and upwards of 30 during summer. High humidity can be an issue for some.

Accommodation Options

I've stayed in quite a number of properties in Brisbane now including an apartment at Brisbane SkyTower on the 61st floor, with views overlooking the river and out to the ocean to the east.
