Shangri-La

Overlooking Circular Quay and the Rocks precinct, The Shangri-La is one of the finest hotels of its kind. 

I booked a King Opera Room which, as you can see, has lovely views overlooking Circular Quay and the Opera House below. Additionally, I had exclusive access to their club, which was on the same level as my room as it happened. They served up a daily full buffet style breakfast, then later in the day, they served up high tea and to finish off the day, they served canapes and drinks until 7pm. 

Not once in the 2 nights I stayed did I eat elswhere. What's the point? This club fed me during my entire stay, for free. 

The pool was fabulous, though it could have stayed open a little later for guests arriving later than 7pm. Kind of disappointing that, given it's a 5 star hotel. 

Not sure, I'd stay here again. It was lovely. The room itself is a bit dated and their operating hours for the facilities ie Pool are atrocious. There are a dozen other hotels offering something similar around the Sydney CBD with similar or better views so for the money, I'll continue to explore other hotels.
