Cobb & Co. Museum

Upon my most recent trip to Toowoomba, I visited the Cobb & Co. museum. Cobb & Co were established as the main transport company during the gold rush period of Australia in about the 1850's, roughly the same time as the Industrial Revolution was in full swing in Britain.

Wheat and wool were commodities rich in value at the time of the gold rush and were in high demand by the British so they were exported from Australia to Britain and then shipped by canal boat to the mills in the midlands and northern England for processing and making into wool garments and shipped back down to London for sale.
