As a solo traveller, it's often difficult to find budget accommodation catering specifically for one person. This hotel in Sydney's Green Square is one such a place. I stayed here for about a week during one of my recent trips. 

This apartment has everything you need in one tiny but compact room with transport links within a 2 minute walk, restaurants and a major supermarket within a 5 minute walk. Green Square railway station is 2 or 3 stops from the Domestic and International air terminals respectively. 

It had reverse cycle air conditioning, a large bar fridge, a microwave and a HD TV with an HDMI input so I could simply plug in my laptop to watch movies on a larger screen. 

Complimentary breakfast including briche rolls and espresso coffee were served on their 1st floor above reception, accessible via 2 lifts. 

At the time I stayed, it was about $100/night, though I think the rates have risen slightly since.
