Buckingham Palace Residences

In early May 2023, we had a bit of a flea problem in our flat. Duncan was away on business for a week so I took it upon myself to fumigate the flat, wash every piece of fabric I could find and set off flea smoke bombs throughout. 

In the afternoon I realised that I had nowhere to sleep...so like I always do, I jumped on Booking.com to see what I could find for a night. 

The King's coronation was imminent so most of the London hotels were booked solid that week but I did manage to find this one apartment...right opposite Buckingham Palace. The address was Buckingham Gate SW1. 

It wasn't that expensive either, (£200) given it was a 3 bedroom apartment and it was only for one night. Of course, when I checked back the next day, the price of the same apartment had tripled. But that didn't worry me...it fulfilled my needs at the time and that was to give me somewhere to sleep. I just didn't expect it to be something as exquisite as this place. 

I bought myself a bottle of French Rose wine, some fresh sushi from Itsu and plonked myself down in front of the TV. After dinner I soaked myself away in the deep bath before enjoying a lovely sleep in one of their large king size beds. The next day, I went to our flat to continue my plight.
