Sydney Boutique Hotel
Boutique, in Name Only
I've stayed in many different styles of hotel, backpackers, budget and boutique. This hotel is NOT what I would call a Boutique Hotel. Basic, but certainly not boutique.
It was comfortable enough though featuring a large, comfortable bed, a rain shower, air conditioning and a balcony. The staff were very welcoming and at $140/night, I couldn't really complain but I don't think I'd stay there again. The photos on Google are quite misleading really.
The room was clean but it was looking tired, as was the entire property. The exterior doors leading out to the balcony were all dusty. A fresh coat of paint would go a long way in tarting up this property. But it lacked any real style of the many other hotels I've stayed in.
As far as in-room amentieis, this room had very little. There was a mini bar and free tea and coffee making facilities. There were no tissues, using toilet paper as a substitute. There wasn't even a toilet brush to clean the bowl after I'd been. Honestly, Ibis Budget have a better in room offering. But what you do pay for here is location as it's situated right in the middle of Kings Cross, one of the most popular destinations for travellers in Sydney.
