Hack Green "Secret" Nuclear Bunker

About an hour outside Nantwich in the county of Shropshire (and about a 10 minute walk from the Shropshire Union canal) lies this "secret" nuclear bunker which was built at a time when the cold war was imminent.

Although not so secret anymore, this 30,000 square foot building was constructed to withstand a nuclear blast and would give the government of the day a headquarters to continue operating. Complete with fresh air filters, water treatment and recycling, accommodations, meeting rooms and a BBC radio station, it was a first class establishment should the proverbial hit the fan.

Now, it's a museum open to the public. The cost for entry is about £10 which gives you a 12 month pass to the now redundant facility.
