Leeds

We've been to Leeds twice since we've been here. Once just to visit the town shortly after we arrive in Britain...just because we've never been there before and wanted to see what it was all about. The other was a trip to see a boat I was looking at buying back in 2019.

Both occasions were very different to each other. The first time we stayed at the Hilton and did a bit of exploring the city. We found a Bourbon Bar called 51% which had a vast collection of whiskey's and bourbons so we got a bit silly. But we also visited the Armouries Museum, which as you can imagine was filled with all the different kinds of armour and weapons used through the ages including a special collection of guns used by the legendary James Bond in the films.

We spent a bit of time exploring the canal as Leeds is where the Leeds & Liverpool canal begins...or ends depending on which way you travel. The canal is one of the longest in the country spanning about 127 miles.

The second time we visited was a day trip to inspect a potential boat to buy back when I was intending to travel around the country. Needless to say, we didn't buy this little sail boat. It was very cramped inside, no toilet...not even space for one and it was powered only a small electric outboard.

The first boat I looked at

Walther PPK pistol

Used in the Bond films of the 60's, 70's, 80's
