Gay Europe

As a gay man with a partner, our social lives often revolve around other gay men. Make sense? We as a species like to engage on a more sexual level than most of the straights we all know. It's more of an animal type instinct. Many animals in the wild choose not to remain monogamous. They have multiple partners with whomever they choose, whenever they want. 

We often have our own dedicated pubs too, as is the case in Vienna, where we discovered several men only venues such as this one, The Eagle. 

That's why you often hear of gay men having open relationships. And that's exactly what our relationship is, open...but honest and without fear or jealousy, the very types of emotions that can and often wreck relationships in the straight world, but in the gay world, we thrive. Jealousy is such a useless emotion yet causes so many issues between two people. 

We have venues scattered around the world usually in or near the major cities, called Gay Saunas. They are basically venues designed and setup purely for the purpose of men going to have sex with other men. But they have a lot of facilities on site too, including dry saunas and steam rooms. Some have bars and often you can get a massage too. And many of them have been around for centuries, especially around Europe. There's even a guy on YouTube who visits and shows people the different gay saunas around Europe.  In fact, it was through him that we discovered the Deutsche Eiche, the oldest of it's kind in all of Germany. At the time of writing, we have a reservation and flights booked to visit in February 2025.

Both my partner and I frequent these venues especially now we're travelling around Europe. In fact, we've decided to cater to our needs more by travelling later in the week or on weekends when these venues are busy. 

And what about STD's do you ask? As gay men, we are usually one step ahead of the general (straight) population when it comes to our sexual health needs. We usually test regularly for these nasty STI's and have appropriate vaccines in place. Hell, there's even a new type of drug we all use now. It's called PreP, which is a form of anti-viral for HIV. Condoms are a thing of the past thanks to this drug.

So, thinking about all this, I thought it worth creating a whole new channel page dedicated to gay life all around Europe.
